What Is Collagen Regeneration Therapy?
In modern dermatologic science, collagen regeneration–stimulating treatments have become a key approach to reversing or slowing the aging process by harnessing the skin’s own regenerative capacity.
Rather than temporarily filling volume with external substances, this therapy is based on the principle of using biocompatible materials to stimulate fibroblasts within the skin, thereby inducing new collagen synthesis. Through this process, skin structure, elasticity, and overall quality are improved in a more natural and long-lasting way.

Collagen Regeneration Facilitator Type
Natural collagen regeneration for a total upgrade of your skin quality.
Over several months, newly created collagen fibers strengthen the skin’s structural support, resulting in gradual and natural volume recovery, increased elasticity and improved skin texture.

Sculptra® Overview
It targets the underlying cause of aging, which is collagen deficiency, and works with your body within the deep dermis to help revitalize collagen production and restore your skin’s inner structure and volume.
Collagen is an amino acid naturally produced by the body, which makes the skin suppler, firmer, and more resilient.
As collagen is stimulated, the skin begins to regain its fullness, diminishing wrinkles and creases. Results are subtle yet noticeable and are achieved through a series of treatments.
Unlike quick-fix fillers, Sculptra® takes a more natural and holistic approach to skin revitalization, gradually enhancing your appearance over time. The slow, steady improvement helps you achieve a refreshed look that doesn’t appear artificial or overdone—perfect for those who want discreet, long-lasting results. With proper care and maintenance, the effects of Sculptra® can last up to two years, offering a balanced solution for addressing the signs of aging gracefully.
Choosing Sculptra
Sculptra specifically tackles the underlying issue of aging by addressing collagen loss. Collagen, a protein naturally present in your body, contributes to skin elasticity, firmness, and resilience. Sculptra works within the deep layers of your skin to not only restore youthful fullness but also improve overall skin health over time. The results? A subtle yet noticeable transformation was achieved through just a few sessions. Sculptra isn’t just a treatment—it’s an investment in long-term skin vitality.
Sculptra vs. Similar Procedures
Sculptra differs fundamentally from traditional dermal fillers. Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, which create volume by attracting moisture to the treated areas, Sculptra enhances skin by thickening its foundational layers through collagen stimulation. While hyaluronic fillers provide an immediate and noticeable improvement, Sculptra’s results develop gradually, offering lasting benefits that enhance your skin’s texture and elasticity over time. This long-term approach makes Sculptra an excellent choice for those seeking durable and natural results.
Sculptra® or Dermal Fillers?
Sculptra works in a different way than hyaluronic acid fillers do; while Sculptra thickens the skin to make it more elastic, hyaluronic acid fillers attract moisture to the area that is being treated to create more volume.
The initial improvement is not as pronounced as would be experienced with a hyaluronic acid filler since the effect is more gradual with Sculptra.

Important Sculptra Treatment Reminders
To gain maximum effectiveness from treatment, there are a few tips and suggestions you should consider. Avoid the following at least one week before the procedure to lessen the chance of bruises or marks:
- Anti-inflammatory medicines (aspirin, Motrin, ibuprofen, Aleve, Advil, Naproxen, etc.).
- Vitamin E
- Omega-3 supplements (fish oil and flaxseed)
There are medications that may be effective in preventing bruises. They are available as a cream, topical gel, or pill. Consult with our treatment provider to determine which option is best for you. It can be effective in decreasing the amount of time it takes to heal.

FAQs at Cellon Rejuvenation Center
Sculptra is an injection which contains a biodegradable molecule known as poly-L-lactic acid. It is easily absorbed, broken down, and causes no harm to the body. The area of treatment is protected by a numbing solution before injections are administered. Water and lidocaine are reconstructed into the Sculptra treatment. This will enhance the numbness as the procedure is performed. People describe the treatments as comfortable and relaxing.
Some patients experience redness, bruising, bleeding, itching, swelling, and injection site discomfort are common. Less common side effects include small lumps which may sometimes be noticeable. Occasionally these lumps may occur several months after treatment and most resolve without treatment.
You may resume normal activity immediately after your treatment. Your skin may appear swollen for up to 48 hours and there may be mild bruising of the skin. Makeup can be applied immediately after to cover minor bruising or redness. Minimize strenuous exercise and exposure to extensive sun or heat within the first 24 hours following treatment.
You may experience puffiness for up to two weeks and then the area will look very similar to the way it appeared pre-treatment. Most people will start to develop new collagen after about 4 weeks and the result will gradually improve over 3 months.
The cost of autologous blood filler treatments may vary based on the expertise and qualifications of the provider, the number of areas treated, and the time required for the procedure.
