Adipose Derived MesenchymalStem Cells, AD MSC

What Are Cultured Adipose-Derived Stem Cells?

Within the subcutaneous fat of the human body, there exists an abundant population of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), often referred to as a “stem cell reservoir.” When these cells are safely harvested and subsequently cultured and concentrated under sterile conditions, high-purity cell populations can be obtained. These cultured adipose-derived stem cells have been shown to contribute to skin regeneration and the modulation of inflammatory responses.

These advanced treatments are actively applied in clinical practice, demonstrating consistently high levels of patient satisfaction.

How Does The AD MSC Therapy

Produce Its Effects?

Health and regeneration originate from adipose tissue—the body’s rich source of regenerative cells. However, not all adipose tissue and SVF are the same. Twenty years of dedicated research and clinical experience at a hospital specializing in fat-related procedures have clearly demonstrated this distinction.

The viability of stem cells varies significantly depending on multiple factors, including the pressure applied during fat harvesting, the degree of tissue damage, temperature control, and the speed of cell extraction. Only highly experienced liposuction centers with refined techniques can successfully obtain stem cells with high survival rates.

Through two decades of extensive domestic and international clinical experience, comprehensive treatment programs have been developed encompassing therapy, transplantation, aesthetic surgery, and post-procedure management. These programs are supported by advanced medical equipment and a structured follow-up system, ensuring continuous, responsible care throughout the entire treatment process.

What Mechanisms Underlie

the Therapeutic Effects?

  • Paracrine Effects|
Growth factors and cytokines secreted by stem cells stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, contributing to dermal regeneration and improved skin quality.
  • Immunomodulation
By regulating the balance of T cells and macrophages, stem cells help reduce chronic inflammation and stabilize the skin barrier.
  • Antioxidant and Anti-Aging Effects
Stem cells reduce reactive oxygen species (ROS) and protect against cellular damage, thereby slowing the biological aging process.
  • Direct Differentiation
A subset of stem cells can differentiate into fibroblasts, directly contributing to the repair and restoration of damaged dermal structures.

Expected Results

  • Skin Firmness & Lifting
Increased collagen density enhances skin elasticity and creates a more defined facial contour.
  • Fine Lines & Enlarged Pores
Enhanced dermal remodeling smooths skin texture and refines the appearance of fine lines and pores.
  • Pigmentation & Scar Improvement
Accelerated tissue repair may help reduce the appearance of pigmentation and scars.
  • Dry & Sensitive Skin Stabilization
Anti-inflammatory and moisturizing cytokines strengthen the skin barrier and improve overall skin resilience.

Expected Clinical Outcomes
forAD MSC Stem Cell Therapy

1 High Safety

Because autologous tissue is used, the risk of immune rejection or foreign body reactions is extremely low. All cell processing and culture procedures are performed in GMP-certified laboratories, minimizing the risk of contamination. Cellon Dermatology is a Ministry of Health and Welfare–designated advanced regenerative medicine institution and strictly complies with all relevant regulatory and ethical standards.

2 Minimal Scarring Through Low-Volume Fat Harvesting

An adequate number of stem cells can be obtained using only a small volume of adipose tissue, thereby minimizing incision size and reducing scarring at the harvest site. From fat harvesting to stem cell isolation and administration, the entire procedure can be completed on the same day, resulting in a shorter recovery period and allowing patients to experience treatment benefits more quickly.

3 Cell Banking System – Multiple Treatments from a Single Harvest

Harvested adipose-derived stem cells are safely preserved through a dedicated cell banking system. This allows multiple treatments to be performed from a single fat harvest, enabling a structured, long-term approach to skin regeneration and volume maintenance without the need for repeated tissue collection.

4 Enhanced Early Engraftment Through Combined Hyperbaric Oxygen and Regenerative LED Protocols

Post-procedure hyperbaric oxygen therapy and regenerative LED light treatment are applied in combination to maximize tissue oxygenation and reduce inflammation. This approach effectively enhances the early engraftment of transplanted fat and stem cells, leading to more stable and predictable clinical outcomes.

5 Quantitative Pre- and Post-Treatment Assessment Using Ultrasound and 3D Scanning

Objective quantitative analyses using ultrasound and 3D scanning are performed before and after treatment to evaluate volume changes and engraftment rates. By relying on measurable data rather than subjective visual impressions, this approach provides highly reliable and transparent outcomes for both clinicians and patients.

Our Approach :
Tailored to Your Unique Needs

Unmatched Engraftment Rates and Predictable Outcomes

This data-driven protocol minimizes unnecessary volume resorption over time and enables the achievement of highly stable and long-lasting volume retention, resulting in superior predictability of clinical results.

Beyond Volume: Skin Regeneration Effects

As depleted volume is restored, overall skin elasticity improves, skin tone appears clearer and more even, and fine lines are visibly reduced—allowing patients to experience comprehensive skin rejuvenation beyond simple volume enhancement.

The Most Natural and Healthy Beauty

Because stem cells are derived from your own body, they integrate naturally as part of your own tissue. This allows for harmonious restoration and regeneration, resulting in the most natural and ideal expression of beauty.

Frequently asked questions

SVF is an abbreviation for stromal vascular fraction, which refers to a heterogeneous cell population present in the aqueous fraction obtained after enzymatic digestion of lipoaspirated adipose tissue using collagenase. SVF contains a variety of cell types, including endothelial cells, pericytes, immune cells, fibroblasts, and adipose-derived stem cells.

In contrast, ADSCs (adipose-derived stem cells) represent a specific cell population within SVF. ADSCs have been shown to possess the ability to differentiate into multiple cell lineages, including neural cells, chondrocytes, osteoblasts, adipocytes, and endothelial cells. For this reason, ADSCs are classified as a type of adult stem cell.

In recent years, both SVF and ADSCs have been increasingly utilized—often in parallel or in comparison—for therapeutic applications in regenerative medicine. Their clinical use has been explored in the treatment of conditions related to immune dysregulation, tissue degeneration, and ischemic diseases.

The human body possesses an inherent capacity for self-healing and is composed of a wide variety of specialized tissues and cells. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are distributed throughout the body, including in the bone marrow, adipose tissue, and skin. These cells are characterized by their ability to self-renew while simultaneously differentiating into multiple cell types.

Because of these properties, MSCs are classified as a type of adult stem cell and are commonly referred to as mesenchymal stem cells. In addition to their differentiation potential, MSCs exert therapeutic effects through the secretion of bioactive factors that influence surrounding cells—a mechanism known as the paracrine effect. Through this process, MSCs have been shown to contribute to immunomodulation, angiogenesis, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity, inhibition of apoptosis, and tissue repair, supporting their broad potential in regenerative medicine.

Fat harvesting takes approximately 30 minutes. The cell culture process requires 2–3 weeks, and the administration of the cultured cells typically takes about 20–30 minutes.

The fat harvesting area is treated under local anesthesia, and the injection procedure is typically well tolerated with the use of topical anesthetic cream or a vibration-based anesthesia device, ensuring a comfortable experience for most patients.

Bruising and swelling at the fat harvesting site typically subside within 3–5 days, and most patients are able to resume normal daily activities immediately.

After a single treatment session, clinical outcomes are typically monitored over a period of 6–12 months. Additional treatments may be recommended if necessary, depending on individual response and treatment goals.
